Camilla Bag ~ Sew Serendipity/Kay Whitt

This is the Camilla Bag from Sew Serendipity by Kay Whitt.  I have had this on my “to make” list for a while now and finally found the perfect fabric for it.  I think the ruffles added a nice girly touch to the bag.  It is a fabulous pattern and can be made in several different sizes.  The one pictured above is the large tote.   It was made especially with my Mother in mind for Mother’s Day.  She is so fun to sew for and like any good Mom, acts like she loves everything I make for her.  The picture below is the inside of the tote showing the embroidery.   I used a combination of designs from JuJu.

My Dad took this picture of my adorable Mother posing with her new bag – you look cute Mom!  Love the matching jacket!

Sweet Retreat’s Little Sister

This is a sample of the tote bag that I am teaching at Thomas Sewing Center on May 14 & 15th.  It is a darling pattern from Whistlepig Creek using pre-quilted fabric (or if you’re feeling froggy you can quilt your own) and it even has an optional zippered top.   Wouldn’t it make a wonderful Mother’s Day or graduation present?  Please call the store to sign up and get your supply list.  They will have the pattern available at the store too.

Screen Cosmetic Bag Tutorial

I told someone that I would get a tutorial out on using the pet screen to make this tote bag many months ago and I feel terrible that I haven’t done it yet!  It’s too complicated to go into the reasons why it is taking me so long, but I thought I would give you the screen cosmetic bag to try and make up for it…..so Tara, this one is for you :>)

You can find the instructions under the tutorial tab at the top ~ Enjoy!!
