About

Hello, my name is Michelle Dorsey and I live in Mesquite, TX with my husband of 22 years, our daughter (who is now in college) and our three precious fur balls.

My passion/obsession is sewing and all that implies.  I particularly like to sew fun, quick (I call them instant gratification) projects.  I teach sewing and embroidery classes at several local shops in the Dallas area.  In my pictures you will see some of the projects I have taught and some I have made just for fun.  When looking through my pictures you will notice that I tend to gravitate toward tote bags.  I have been called the tote bag Queen once or twice.   I hope my photos will inspire you to want to go and sew something :>)

I saw the skate garment bag that you made for Lillian while at a competition this weekend. How do I go about ordering one for myself!

Michelle…..long time no see. Sad since we are neighbors! Are you still in the embroidery business? I have some items I want to embroider for Amanda. I love your sight! Super cute as always. Hope to see you sometime soon.

Thank you Judy! I am so glad you found me too! If you look at the top of my menu under tutorials, there should be a drop down list then the second one is the instructions for the notebook cover. If you have trouble viewing this, please let me know.

    Hi Michelle,
I won your wonderful spiral notebook cover at the Martha Pullen Event and I need some of the same fabric you made mine out of. It’s pink with The EiffelTower and a map of Italy on it in same squares. Do you remember what brand of fabric it was? I am going to be making several before school starts.
Your class was terriffic. I would come to Waco from Austin to attend a class of yours.

Hi Michelle. I just love your work. I am wondering if you could clarify “pet screen” for me. Is that the brand name? or the type of screen? I live in a very remote area so if you could suggest an online source that would be great.

I will be sure and take lots of pics at the Martha Pullen Show and I am sure there will be lots of pretties….always are. Can’t wait to see all the vendors and the new gadgets they have come out with. Will keep you posted on those too. Stay cool. The Texas heat is upon us!
