I Have Too Many Samples….Who Wants This One?

To say I have a FEW totes lying around my house is a HUGE understatement!  Therefore, I am going to have a contest to give the sample shown below away to a good home.  If you would like to be entered into this contest, all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post.  After September 30th, I will draw a lucky winner and mail this bag to you.  Simple, right?  You bet!  Easiest contest ever!

And….Why Knot?

I have been hard at work on my latest tote bag pattern, Why Knot?

This adorable bag measures  16 ½” wide x 12 ½” tall, 6” deep, making it the perfect size to carry all your goodies.  My construction technique makes it sturdy (no slouchy bags for me) and stylish with its unique shape.

I have taken away the scare of zippers by not including any on this pattern.  But we still need the pocket in our bag, right?  Well, I added a pleated pocket to the inside instead.

Plus, two additional pleated pockets on the outside for easy access storage to hold your cell phone and keys.

Did you also notice the expandable sides with the magnetic snaps?

As always, my pattern includes step by step instructions with lots of pictures to guide you in making your own Why Knot Tote Bag.  I have also included my Sewnopsis with this pattern that will serve as your cheat sheet and save you lots of time by not having to run to and from the computer to see what step is next.  I have been told by customers that this is one of their favorite part of my patterns.

If you would like to purchase my Why Knot? Tote Bag, please click HERE to visit my Etsy store.

For the first 10 customers, this pattern will be $5.00.  After those ten have sold, the pattern will return to its normal price of $8.00.

Camilla Bag ~ Sew Serendipity/Kay Whitt

This is the Camilla Bag from Sew Serendipity by Kay Whitt.  I have had this on my “to make” list for a while now and finally found the perfect fabric for it.  I think the ruffles added a nice girly touch to the bag.  It is a fabulous pattern and can be made in several different sizes.  The one pictured above is the large tote.   It was made especially with my Mother in mind for Mother’s Day.  She is so fun to sew for and like any good Mom, acts like she loves everything I make for her.  The picture below is the inside of the tote showing the embroidery.   I used a combination of designs from JuJu.

My Dad took this picture of my adorable Mother posing with her new bag – you look cute Mom!  Love the matching jacket!
